Who is responsible

Wielda is built by Belema Achego. There is no company behind it. You can reach me at hello@wielda.com about anything on this page, and that is also where privacy requests go. For help with the app, see Support.

What the app stores on Wielda's servers

To run your account and keep your data in step across your devices:

• Your account. Your email address, your name if you give it, your time zone, and your password, which is stored only as a one-way hash.
• What you put into Wielda. Tasks and their steps, due dates and reminder times, habits and their check-ins, Memora dates and notes, focus sessions and focus modes, categories, and your answers about what kind of day you are having.
• Your settings, such as whether notifications and calendar sync are on.
• Your calendar, as daily totals only. If you connect it, the app reads your phone's calendar and sends the server how many minutes of meetings each day holds, how many there are, and when the first starts and the last ends. Event titles, attendees, locations and notes never leave your phone.
• Notifications. A push token from Apple or Google so Wielda can reach this phone, the phone's name or model, and when it was last seen.
• Feedback you send: what you wrote, the screen you sent it from, the app version and the platform.
• Your subscription, if you buy Wielda Pro: the plan, its status, when it renews or ends, and which store it came from. Payment details go to Apple or Google and never reach Wielda.
• Security records. Your sign-in sessions and the app or browser each came from. Your IP address is used to limit repeated attempts and can appear in server logs.

What stays on your phone

• Your calendar events themselves. Only the totals above are sent.
• A copy of your tasks, habits and the rest, so the app works without a signal.
• Your sign-in tokens, in the phone's secure storage.
• Your reminders, which the phone schedules itself.

If you speak a brain dump instead of typing it, your voice goes to your phone's own speech recognition, provided by Apple or Google under their privacy policies. Wielda receives only the text.

AI features

Brain dump and breaking a task down send text to Anthropic, which runs the model behind them. For a brain dump that is what you wrote, your category names, and today's date and time. For breaking a task down it is the task's title, description, category and existing steps, plus any instructions you add. On Wielda Pro a brain dump can also include a summary of your day: how much you have planned, your meetings as totals, and how you said the day looks.

Nothing is sent unless you use one of these features. Anthropic processes it to answer the request and does not use it to train its models.

What Wielda does not do

No advertising, no analytics or tracking tools, no advertising identifier, and no selling, renting or sharing your data for anyone's marketing.

Who else handles it

These services process data for Wielda, each for one job:

• Anthropic runs the AI features above.
• Google Firebase delivers push notifications.
• RevenueCat manages Wielda Pro subscriptions. It receives your Wielda account number and your purchase records from the store.
• Apple and Google take payment for Wielda Pro through the App Store and Google Play, under their own terms.
• Resend sends sign-in codes and password reset emails.
• Cloud hosting and database providers run the servers and store the data.

These providers operate internationally, so your data may be stored or processed outside the country you live in, including in the United States. Where the law requires safeguards for those transfers, Wielda relies on the ones these providers offer.

Why it is used

• To provide the app you signed up for: your account, your data, sync, reminders and the features you use.
• To keep it secure and working: preventing abuse, fixing faults, and reading feedback you send.
• To run a subscription you choose to buy.

Calendar access, notifications and the microphone are used only after you allow them on your phone, and you can switch each off in your phone's settings at any time.

If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, the legal bases are the contract with you, Wielda's legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working, and your consent for those phone permissions.

How long it is kept

Your data is kept while your account exists. When an account is deleted, its data is erased from the live service after 30 days. Subscription records can be kept longer where tax or accounting law requires it, and server logs are kept only as long as running the service needs them.

Deleting your account

In the app, go to Profile, then Delete account, and enter your password. Or email hello@wielda.com from the address on your account and ask. No reason is needed. You are signed out everywhere straight away, and the account's data is erased 30 days later. Email within those 30 days if you change your mind. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account, and it does not cancel Wielda Pro. Cancel that in your App Store or Google Play settings. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask to see the data Wielda holds about you, get a copy, correct it or have it deleted, and you can object to how it is used. Email hello@wielda.com and you will get an answer within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, California's privacy laws or Canada's PIPEDA give you these rights formally, and you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Wielda is not for anyone under 13, or under the minimum age for agreeing to online services where you live if that is higher. If you believe a child has made an account, email me and it will be deleted.

This website

If you put your email address in the early access form on the home page, this is recorded:

• Your email address.
• Which version of the page you saw. Three versions of the headline are running, and I want to know which one you read.
• The site that linked you here, if there was one.
• The date and time you submitted it.
• An invite link of your own, so you can pass this on. It is a short random code and it is not derived from your address.
• If you arrived on someone else's invite link, that link. This does connect your entry to theirs, and it is the one thing here that links two people. Nobody is told who used their link, and the count earns you nothing. I keep it only to see whether the list grows by word of mouth.

If you do not use the form, nothing about you is stored. Page visits are counted in aggregate so I can see how many people arrived and which version they landed on, and that count is not tied to you.

Your address is used to send you one email when Wielda is in the app stores, and a short confirmation now so you know it arrived. It is not used for anything else, is not sold, and is not shared with anyone for marketing. It is kept until the launch email goes out or until you ask me to remove it, whichever comes first. If Wielda never launches, the list gets deleted rather than kept.

This site sets no cookies on any page you can visit, runs no advertising scripts, and uses no tracking pixels. The visit counting is done without them, which is why you are not being asked to dismiss a banner. The one exception is a private admin area that visitors never reach, which sets strictly necessary sign-in cookies for the person who runs the site.

Changes

If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change to how existing data is used will be announced in the app before it applies.
